SHOUTcast is Nullsoft's Free Winamp-based distributed streaming audio system. One of the best known uses is for Internet-based radio stations. Broadcasting to many clients isn't possible from a home Internet connection, but this problem is easily overcome by broadcasting just one stream to a shoutcast server hosted on a high bandwidth connection, the server will then relay the audio to any clients connected.
